Testosterone, inflammation and auto-immune diseases - What is old and what is new?


Dr. Linda Vignozzi presents research addressing the effect of testosterone on immunity. While old data show that the prevalence of autoimmune diseases is lower in men than women, recent data show that hypogonadism is associated with a worsening of autoimmune diseases, such as psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, and Crohn’s disease, and that testosterone therapy is beneficial.
