The Androgen Deficiency in the Aging Male (ADAM) questionnaire is a fast way to find out if a patient has symptoms or signs that may be related to low testosterone. Simply ask the patient which of the listed symptoms and/or signs below that he has been experiencing, and then click the 'submit' button to view the results.
If results show that the patient has symptoms and/or signs of low testosterone, according to clinical guidelines2-8, this patient should have testosterone levels checked by blood test. The combination of symptoms and/or sign and a low testosterone level (total or free testosterone) constitutes the diagnosis of hypogonadism.2-8
Note that a positive result on the ADAM questionnaire does not necessarily mean that a patient has testosterone deficiency (hypogonadism), which requires the presence of both symptoms and/or signs and a low testosterone level.
This tool is also available on the patient site to be filled and printed when seeing the doctor.
